En 1977 se editó Sandra Mihanovich, su primer álbum, publicado por el sello CBS. El disco constituye su debut discográfico oficial y el inicio de su trayectoria registrada.
Entre las canciones incluidas se encuentra “Falta poco tiempo”, tema que alcanzó una amplia difusión al ser utilizado como música central de una publicidad televisiva de cigarrillos Jockey Club (Nobleza Piccardo). En ese aviso, emitido a fines de la década de 1970, Sandra Mihanovich fue la protagonista, junto al actor Julio Chávez, lo que otorgó una fuerte visibilidad a la canción y al lanzamiento.
*Originalmente contenía «Tu me conoces (You Know me)» de Paul Willams y Ken Ascher, y Amanecer (Daybreak) de Barry Manilow y Adrianne Anderson, las mismas en la re-edición de 1980 fueron reemplazadas por «Picariño, Escuchame» y «Pienso en vos».
